I had a Scan Gauge II in my last TV. I have the Edge Insight CTS monitor now, and hooked a $15 back up camera to it. When I put the truck in reverse, the gauges are replaced by the backup camera view, just like an OEM backup camera.
I like both the Scan Gauge and Edge CTS a lot, tho prefer the Edge. I have a smartphone so could use the Torque app, but don't want to hook it up every time I get in the truck, nor do I want to dedicate it -- I use Google Maps and Navigation on my phone when on a trip.
With the Edge CTS, you can also buy the kit and add an EGT probe, which I will be doing shortly.
