I am thinking of getting a Scan Gauge for my 08 Fleetwood Gasser are they worth the price?

Perhaps some details will help here. I bought a ScangaugeD. I like it. But my port under the dash was never connected to the port in the back. I haven't been able to trace the wires to see if the harness was even run to the back. But my bet is that it wasn't. So I can plug the deal in back in the rear compartment where the outlet is. That just doesn't give me a running gauge. If I could get the signal wirelessly to the scangauge, that would be great. But I have not found a feasible way to do that yet. But this other deal with the phone sounds like it is set up that way. But is range from back to front of a 38' motorhome going to be an issue?
