GS - From what I remember your wheelbase is OK. I'm talking about the too-short ones, and there are plenty on this forum.
Believe me, I know what too-long can be like. Our church used old school buses. Chevy 60-series, Ford F600s. They all tracked fine on the road. Drove easy around town.
Then we got a GMC with a huge wheelbase. Like all the above, it didn't have power steering. Every turn was a challenge. All but impossible to get around a corner. Couldn't keep it off curbs at corners. Needed an airport to turn around.
Our 31-ft C with 218" wheelbase doesn't have those issues. But it does track on the highway.
