Guess we also need to look into getting the Winnie aligned.
I've only read a few responses - but THIS is the place to start. And I'm sure a few folks have said the same thing?
When we bought our 2004 28' Class C, our dealer made a point of telling us to load it up like we were going to take a week-long trip - and get it realigned. I guess the cutaway chassis is aligned before the motorhome is built; so it needs to be realigned carrying its new payload?
Before realignment - it was "floaty" (scary!) on uneven roads - as you say, it felt like the steering was unresponsive.
After realignment ($67) - it handled like the Family Van. Rock solid. Our Wrangler wasn't noticeable being towed AT ALL. And it has remained rock-solid all these years - crosswinds or passing trucks hardly are noticeable.
We have added no other aftermarket gadgets.
On edit - oops! Didn't realize this was a year-old thread.
