Because they don't want to fix it now and have more things break and come back and do it again. But I agree with your assessment in that I would not buy a coach in that condition anyway. If those are the things you can see, what is wrong that you can't see?
Next time I buy a motorhome, before I sign the final docs, I will do a very thorough walk through and mechanical check. Anything that is wrong I'll tell them to fix it and once they are done then I'll sign the docs and take possession. If they don't agree to that then I won't be buying another motorhome.
I like my current motorhome but it spent well over a month in the shop when I bought it fixing some really minor things. It was just a comedy of errors. There was no motivation for them to fix it because I already bought the darn thing.
