1. There is NO excuse for units to not be in good condition for sale
2. What has been posted is why most good dealers will NOT rob parts from a new unit to fix a unit just delivered or is being delivered. This leaves the stock unit looking bad. Much better to overnite the parts needed or delay delivery
3. IF NOT NEW, then the odds are it is a Consignment unit, and believe me, the owner does NOT want to fix anything regardless how it looks until he has a verified buyer. But a salesman should point that out, that it is a consignment unit.
4. If a dealership has new units in bad repair, then that is an indication of the quality of the sales/service dept. Think about that if you decide to buy, then don't complain later when you are not happy with the service.
5. Remember, even NEW units are not the property of the Dealership, they belong to the Finance company. Doug
