We went to a large lot when looking at TTs a while back. The guy told us they had one they had just taken in but it was not prepped to show yet. He must have apologized 6 times on the walk to it that it wasn't ready to show yet. When we looked at it, it wasn't that bad but had cosmetic issues like the OP described. The other units on the lot were cleaned up and ready to show.
That's the way to do it and the lot is still in business and does good business. Not fixing cosmetic issues ESPECIALY on a NEW UNIT is a really bad sales tactic but I guess it must work somehow... Maybe the Camping World catalog carries poor performing sales departments?
