So, I have a 1990 Overland motorhome that I am intending to put up for sale--but it has issues. My question is, how detailed do I need to get in an initial ad? Understand that I do not want to hide anything--I just don't want to write a novel! What info would you want to see in an ad and what would be safe to disclose as further information to someone who may be interested? Thanks for any and all input.

If it needs to be fixed up, put that in the ad. If you are selling it for $5,000 due to roof leaks, bad tires, ect. it will be listed as a fixer upper, and no low balling, as the price already reflects the condition of the 25 year old RV. If the engine runs good, transmission is OK, and everything else can be restored, list it as that. List the mileage too, everyone needs to know that. Good luck!Fred.

Just say "where-is, as-is" and be free to let them inspect for issues.I suspect in the price range we are talking, you will not gain much by quibbling with a line of people over the reduction in value due to old tires or a balky generator.Matt B

Safe ?? A 1990 distressed MH. I think you can answer that question if you put yourself in the shoes as the "buyer"

You state that you don't want to hide anything. Just list everything you know is wrong and you will not be hiding anything.
