Your post doesn't make sense. California REQUIRES a written quote be provided to the customer prior to service. Your statement says the quote didn't match the price on the internet. So...I'm assuming that you got a quote prior to the work which you authorized and then complained about it. If you thought you could get it done cheaper, as you stated, why didn't you leave and go elsewhere.
Why would they be required to give you a ride home? Sounds a little like you authorized the work and then had second thoughts about how expensive it was.
