Our 2004 Sportsmobile/Sprinter 2500 with a trip to Alaska and many trips to Florida has been towed just once in 270,000 miles. That was when the transmission was replaced with more than 200,000 miles on the odometer. Several times we used "limp home mode" to get help. I have found that I can find Freightliner dealers phone numbers in my GPS. If Freightliner dealers cann't fix it, they know who can. I have also had work done at Mercedes dealers and there is a local garage that does good work also. In the past I've had difficulty getting an alternator replaced at a Chevy garage. I also think that it is easier to get work done on a Ford than any other brand. The Sprinter has needed very little repair and I've been treated well the few times when repair was needed.
