Sewer Hose Connections

Question

I need some help. My hands are smaller than most and have a touch of arthritis in my thumbs. I'm having a devil of a time holding and twisting the sewer hoses apart. Has anybody else had this problem and if so, how did you resolve it?

I apply a small dab of Vaseline to the round 3" plastic connectors about once a year.

The locking version may be better for those that can't squeeze the handles. Locking oil filter wrench
