This has been on my list of mods for a while and I finally got around to installing a semi permanent sewer hose system. I purchased the hose and storage box on E bay this past winter from an RV parts supplier for about the price of just what the hose sells for currently so I couldn't pass it up. This system allows me to leave the hose permanently attached (can be taken off) and has a clear view on the business end along with a open/close valve. This may be one of the best mods I did this year hopefully. I can't find the link to the original page that showed the install instructions but it was on the drainmaster website. Keep valves open or closed? That is the question. Certainly the black valve should be closed but I sometimes cheat and leave the shower valve open until I need the water flow to clean out the hose.

I guess the main advantage is you don't have to connect and disconnect your sewer hose. It's pretty much self contained. Hey- I've seen it done more than once, along with power cords.
Never seen an awning out, though I've heard of it being done :)

Well I guess it doesn't need to be disconnected! You could leave it connected and just let it drag down the hiway under and behind your RV...you'd just have to be careful though on turns that you don't hit it with your RV tires....that might tend to screw it up.

I seen a setup like that on Ebay some time back and almost purchased one myself. Looked like a great setup to me...Lippert makes them so I figured they'd be around for a while.

This can be purchased from Camping World, at least the hose and adapters. Not sure about the storage unit.

I installed the same system on my 5th wheel last month. I agree it is the best sewer hose I have ever had. I do have a 20 foot extension hose and the bayonet adapter just in case. The spare hose will eventually get mounted in a tube next to the carrier. I just haven't had time to get that done yet. This way all my sewer fittings and connections will stay out of my enclosed storage areas.
