I would not use anything mechanical. You are not required to shine the base surface. All one wants to do is remove the dirt, fingerprints, and black stains from the RV.
The red Max Pro will put a shine on the surface and seal it so you want it to be clean. 4 coats should do the trick. Watch out for drips because if not removed right away, they will dry like a run in paint.
