What kind of pad or sponge did you use for the BKF? did you dilute it with water or put it right on to your wet pad?
I used the white 3M scrubbie pads. Wet the pad, sprinkled the Bar Keepers Friend right on the pad, then scrubbed the surface of the MH. Rinsed well with a "flow-thru" brush with a hose hooked up to it, as the BKF leaves alot of residue. Once I did the whole MH, I followed with a wash & rinse (carwash brush) using TSP (1/2 cup to 2 gal water).
I used a similar technique but only used the more expensive white pads to remove the most embedded dirt like in scratched areas. They are higher density and were with the sandpaper at Lowes, while the green scrubbies were in the cleaning section. I wore through about 6 green ones but they are cheap. The rinsing is very important. I wiped the areas off with a sponge and plain water after scrubbing with the BKF, I didn't let it dry on the surface, and then rinsed the whole rig again with the TSP in the sprayer. Very clean and then very shiny after the 4 coats of RMP.
