What is this Red Max Pro that everyone is talking about? Is it a floor wax or what?
Yes it is a floor finish of some kind of acrylic--modern floor finishes do not yellow from what I have read.
How long has indivduals been using this stuff on RV's?
3 to 5 years as far as I can tell from the links
If that happens then what do you do to get the yellow off and not hurt the orginal finish.
There is a Red Max Pro stripper but strong detergents will also remove it (learned from the aformentioned links.)
I think I would like to see a RV that has been "waxed" for a period of time before I would use it on my unit. Sounds great but time will tell how is really looks after a while on the road and setting in the hot sun.............
That is the question this thread is asking folks to find out through trial and error. Would not do this to a new unit, but mine is almost 10 years old and needed help badly. Now to see how long it lasts, and so far so good from all the reports--no yellowing, no waxing or buffing, just a nice sponge wash or rinse and it lasts and lasts. They say a recoat every year for good measure--of course it has to go on a spanking clean surface or it catches dirt and shows it up.
Happy RVing
