I just want to say "Thank You" to all that have contributed to the proliferation of "Red Max Pro" and "Zep Wet Gloss Finish" for RV's. I took my 2003 Cougar, which had old wax and a lot of oxidized areas and It also had a lot of Black stuff on the caulking, which was taken off rather easily with Mean Green and a hand brush (that was actually the hardest part). I used the Bar Keepers Friend on every inch, took off every stain, bug, black streak and etc, then came back with a bath of TSP,which helped further. Then a complete rinsing, using lots of water and a brush and making sure it was not chalky anywhere by going over it with dry rags and making sure of no film or chalk. Let it dry throughly and then started the process of using Zeps (as Lowes was out of Red Max locally). Using white polishing cloths from Family Dollar, as no where could we find pure white or gray microfiber, 4 coats later, 6 hours time, Total time with cleaning 18 hours, I have a rig that I can brag about. My wife was amazed, the neighbors came over and were just amazed, they even went and bought beer to celebrate! We had a block party just because the RV was looking better than new! Folks, all the hype is true. Now for the time test, even if it lasts a year, that is better than what I had. Again, I want to thank everyone involve in this thread and the others that took the plung and "tested" this process.
I had read, researched and reread most every post from all the forums, links and etc. It just seemed that this could not fail if proper procedure was followed as indicated by so many people who had tried this. Whoever reads this, just follow the procedure in this thread and you cannot go wrong. Biggest thing, to me, white microfibre or white rags that do not shed or bleed color. That is why I used white polishing cloths. Take your time, do it right the first time and you will reward yourself tremendously.
