shocks help ride and porpusing on rough wavy roads but don't really do much for handling
better to install heavy sway bars F+R and rear track bar
add some Sumo springs if moneys not a issue

The Sumo's are not really shocks but are more like bumper cushions. They do not dampen anything but they do lessen the jolt from a pot hole.

the sumo Iam talking about are called springs and they do help handling tiffin has them as a option on their motor homes

Just added Monroe shocks all around (Shop did not think Sumo's were worth it) PLUS new rear leaf springs. Has made all the difference in the World. Can take corners like Parnelli Jones (posted speeds). Cost about $2200 all around installed. Well worth the money INMHO

the only downside I see with new heavier springs is much stiffer ride
sumo rubber springs will be as effective for less money unless the factory springs are sacked out

Actually ride is much better, with the new shocks.

I changed the stiff Bilsteind to Koni fsd’s. I added rear sway bar-roadmaster. Sumo’s on front and steering stabilizer. All helped. Also good alignment.

yes of course 99% of the time the ride would be better with new shocks but shocks don't improve cornering sumo springs do and
heavier leafs like u got do also
BUT if the springs are in good shape its easier, as effective(or more)
to simply add sumos and or sway bars and trac bars
and of course better shocks

I've never talked, or read about an F53 owner that has these. But, they're add sure makes them sound pretty good. (Heck, it it would automatically take out the trash too - I might get a 28' Bounder as my Toad, just to see how they really perform:)!).

Suspect these would be on the higher cost end... But, if holding onto a coach for along time, that costs pays dividends with 'smiles by the mile's'.
