Yes there is. The tire manufacture who provided the tires to the chassis manufacture, not the house builder, agreed to a lower price then the others bidding for the contract to supply and nothing more to it. In the end it's all about costs.
Tire manufactures know there is the strong possibility a large percentage of owners will blindly buy the same make, model and size of tire as what was installed on the assembly line regardless of if a comparable or even superior alternative is available at a much lower price. They are willing to take a loss up front knowing there is a strong potential to make it up later.
The OP is doing his homework and asking for advice regarding alternatives to OEM. Good on him, but if the recommendation is to disregard all other choices and stick with OEM for perceived quality because because high cost XYZ couch builder has them on the chassis that ABC corporation provided might not be the best advise or choice for all owners. If cost is a primary indicator of quality them I might have a bridge for sale you should take a look at.
