Shopping tires now wow$$$$
I have been calling around and it is going to cost more than I had budgeted by $500 - $1500. Sorry for all the questions lately I got a price on some Firestone tires and they are $1200 - $1500 cheaper...

The former Participant in the Michelin program charged us 100.00 each to mount and balance four tires and wheels, damaged center , charged us for a wrench he had to buy and essentially kept the rebate from Michelin.
He was talking to his Assistant or Secretary, as I was listening behind him that they ha to make their margin. He is no longer allowed in the program.
So anywhere you go you will find good and bad Shops and people. Next door gave my wife bid, unknown to me 600.00 less for same tires mounted and balanced.
I hope the Firestones work out for you. I always found them to have a bump where they overlap the belts in the tires, perhaps. After last experience with them in 96 I won't buy another Firestone, I don't believe.
