Shore power and generator
I have a 2014 Winnebago class A with a Onan generator. Just wondering if I can start and run generator while I'm plugged into 50amp service. Just want to make sure it won't ruin anything. THANKS

Yes, you can. After all, it is your rig, and for you to do something like that will probably not have any effect on anybody else. No, it will probably not "ruin anything" IF there is no electrical load when the changeover is made. If there is a load, the damage will be cumulative. Over time, there may be damage to the transfer switch.
Personally, I would not do it; I would unplug from shore power before starting the generator.
