Should I attend Hershey or Timoniam RV Shows for C Class

I am a new almost RV'er looking for the right C Class unit to buy. I was going to Hershey to get a 101 indoctrination in RV's, campgrounds, and accessories. When I learned the MD show was the same weekend ( seems stupid) I wanted to ask if I would learn and see just as much in Timoniam. We want a 25 to 28 ft C Class with slides and must have a walk around queen bed for my wife's bad back. We have looked at the Sunseeker 2500 with three slides. I also need to get a good feel for what is out there from Thor, Jayco, Winnie, etc, so I can make the right choice. My ONLY focus is C Class! Where will I learn the most and possibly get the best deal, if we decide?
As a real newby, looking to get RV smart fast, which show should I attend?
  • Prior to the show I would go to mfg web sites like www.winnebagoind.com and others mfgs and look at their on-line brochures, it will save you a lot of time going into units that don't fit you desires and also narrow down some you especially want to see. Dick

Both. one one day one the other.

I would agree. You are already driving almost 2 hours to Timonium. Hershey's not much more than 75 minutes further north. Get a hotel in or near York, PA and visit both. It's a big investment. It is worth the extra time and money.

We're impressed with the quality of the Phoenix Cruisers. Check them out here

  • I've been to local shows and to Hershey. The Hershey RV show (IMHO) is by far the better one for checking out the most manufacturers, floor plans, options etc. Given all you want to see and learn, I would humbly recommend you spend several days there. Further, if you are interested in buying at the show, I would suggest going early in the week to get the best choice. Once someone commits to buy a unit, it is locked up and you can't get into the inside to check it out (at least the last time we were there). Also, the last time we were there, you could arrange a test drive in the Hershey Park Parking lots.
Best wishes for your purchase. Bob
  • I've been to the Hershey (actually Harrisburg) show and the one in Timonium. was much more impressed with harrisburg. I thought Hershey had a lot of stuff outside and if there is rain could be a mess.
