Should my AC empty condensor water to the roof?

This isn’t the news I was hoping for, however the roof on my HR is slightly rounded so at least it doesn’t puddle on top. The other day I climbed up and took off the shroud. The photo is of the discharge hole for the water.



I’m thinking I can fabricate a small thin plastic catch-tray to slide between the shell and the roof under the hole. Then run a tube from the tray off past the edge of the roof. This would be a temporary setup and used primarily at month or longer stops.
