Not at all.
It is recommended that you not only turn off the water but that you open all of the facets too (not ones on the outside).
Pipes break not just from the water freezing but from the pressure buildup between the freeze point and a closed valve.
With the water OFF, you need to turn off the water heater and automatic ice maker too.....and the water softner/conditioner too.
