As far as a bigger pump I plan to replace my pump with a sure flow 4048 series that is a 5 g.pm. Pump with 55 psi it also boasted smooth flow and no rapid cycling or ratcheting as I call it.
You may want to put a restrictor type aerator on your shower head if you don't have a large fresh water tank.
