Side view camera upgrade

I have always wondered about the usefulness of having a driver's side camera that would require the driver to look to his right when wanting to see what's on his left (...because the video screen is in the center of the dashboard). Seems more logical for the passenger side camera, but bottom line for me is that I prefer to trust my mirrors.
