Side window sun visor.

I just took delivery on our new 2014 Fleetwood Storm. I love it except when I drove it home last evening(heading West), I was blinded by the sun. The windshield has a very cool powered full width shade, but the side window only has that fabric curtain. Do people pull that curtain all the way forward and peek around it to see the mirrors,(not used to the cameras yet)? Or maybe play Peek-a-boo with the A-pillar to block the sun?
  • This has been a question I had, too. Now, I use a baseball cap pulled in all kinds of directions to block it, but it sounds like the idea of the children's sun visor might be a good thing to try. I can't close my side curtains and see the mirrors.
  • I just bought a house pull down shade and brackets and mounted it to the under side of the cabinet over the drivers window.

My mirrors are out front of the windshield so when we're on an interstate, I always pull the curtain up to block the sun. I can still clearly see down the side of the coach with the mirrors. When off interstates however, I never pull the curtains up towards the front.
  • We used the pull down shades designed for cars, for little kids.
  • Thanks all. I think I really like the concept of the Rosen system. Small enough to not get in the way and easily moved to just the right spot.
  • Carefree has visors, either electric or manual, that will do what you want. You can find them on EBay....I'll post the link if they have any for sale now....easy install....Dennis

    Here ya go!
  • MCD American Duo shades on each side solves that problem completely.

We installed them throughout the coach and how well they work for the cabin side windows was a pleasant surprise.

  • Don't have an answer to your question but, I have the same problem There is a pull done shade but does not extend far enough to eliminate sun in the eyes!! Anyone have a fix???
