Silverado as toad

i have a 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD gas 2wd. Want to tow it behind motorhome. Will I have any issues if I disconnect the driveshaft and tow it that way or should I put it on a tow dolly backwards.

Thanks

That is one heck of a heavy toad for a 34 foot DP. I have a 35 foot DP with a 330 HP Cat engine and wouldn't even consider that big of a toad. I towed a Dodge Dakota 4x4 for a long time and although the motorhome towed it, I sure could tell it was back there. I recently got rid of that and went back to a Wrangler partially because it's so much easier to tow.
  • There are a lot of better tow vehicles. Seems like a lot of effort disconnecting and re-connecting a drive shaft and towing backwards would put the bumper very close to the back of the coach.
  • I would not go the disconnect drive shaft option. I'd rather tow it on a carrier trailer.
