Single Class Cers

I started out small and easy. I went to full hook up sites just a couple of hours away. There were people to help me back up if I needed it. There were people who knew how RVs worked who could help me if necessary. Before I boondocked for the first time, I dry camped in a full hook up site to see how well it would work. And then, that first boondock was with a group of friends in an area I knew.

Now, I'm comfortable with heading up a dirt road, or out on a road trip. But I built up to that.

I keep hoping she has joined RV.net and will chime in. I would say it's being new to RVing.

I'm a single woman who has towed a travel trailer and camped all over the west. I live in Idaho, so most of the time I'm driving in mountains. The worst trouble I've had is the fridge not working - a block of ice handled the problem until I got home.

Does she say what her specific concerns are? Maybe we can help address them.

It wasn't a meant to be a flippant question. Is she troubled by driving in the western mountains, safety from western strangers, road service availabilty or other things. Rational concerns can often be addressed by education, irrational concerns are more difficult.

There are lots of us female solo travelers! And lots of safety advice online.

Traveling alone might be safer than meeting up with some random person in colorado and caravaning.

We've met many solo campers in our travels. Several joined the Escapee's club Here and joined the local chapters or one of the like interests group (BOF) to get started. They have a group dedicated to SOLO camper. She might check it out!
