I am not sure why people need to make comments about money, other than the basic "it costs such and such" or "this is a less expensive option"
No one knows the whole story. For some people $X is a major expense and for other people it is just noise. Or maybe it is a big expense, but worth it. Maybe they scrimp on other things, but splurge on a particular item because it solves problem and they finally decide to go with it.
But making people look like they are making bad decisions because they spend a little extra, or because they when with a less expensive option? Is there a point to this? I see it often on these boards, and I just do not get it.
Back to topic - I was the one who suggested the pricey RVSuperbag. We dont have a Class B (but maybe someday - talking about your pricey options :-) ), we have a folding trailer. In our last folding trailer the bed could mostly be left made (we took off the comforter), when we folded. Our new one can only take 1 inch. We tried a few cheaper options, we need some sort of pad. So, now we have a thin pad, and the RV sack over it, always with the thicker side down. If we need more warmth we add our comforter.
We considered just 2 sleeping bags, but my husband really wanted sheets, and I would prefer them. So, we splurged. we do tend to keep them permanently zipped halfway down (and if I could make my own, I would have the zipper stop there) It is very comfortable.
Now, when we fold up, we just pull the sack down fold it over and leave it on the folded down dinette. Very easy. We just recently came back from a 3 week, multiple stop trip, and it saved us a lot of time and was very comfortable. Well worth the $$$ (BTW, we updated to the 100% cotton sheets - and very high quality, they will definitely last as long, or longer than this rig.)
