Back of cemeteries. Used them a few times with no problems.

If you were taking your family on vacation in the car would you sleep in your car behind a cemetery to avoid paying for a motel?
You bought an RV to have your own bed to sleep in and hookups to do so IN a CG.
Oftentimes when and where we travel CG's are not open because it is off season for them.
Here up North and sometimes out West when doing early winter or spring travel we have to get creative. The only hookup we normally use is electric anyway, so doing without it is not a big inconvenience.
Here's a tip I found out the first time I headed to Florida as an uneducated newbie snowbird from Wisconsin after winter had started. I didn't even know that CG's closed after Oct 1st in the Midwest!!! What a shock to me to find this out 'after' I was on the road.
What I did find out after getting on the interstate and seeing one or two RV's in the CG's that could be seen from the road was almost all of them do officially close but they are open for electric hook up only. They just shut down the water to the sites but if you pull in they will gladly let you pay and stay in a CG site with electric/dump hookups only. What a relief that was for me! Everyone I pulled into let me stay!
And.....many of them still have water to the laundry rooms and showers because they are in insulated buildings. Of course seasoned snowbirds already know this, it was just learning curve for me! :W
