Stopping at a public boat launch. We fish with our boat and there is nothing more annoying than having the parking lot full of RV'S and nowhere to put your TV and trailer...even small public launches charge anywhere from $10-$20 to launch.
I don't like the idea of people pulling into CG late and leaving early so they don't have to pay. They would be the first ones to complain at the increase of CG fees. If you stay, pay!!!!
Staying in a private parking lot after business hours is trespassing in my book. The business has to pay insurance liability. Would you expect the owner to pay if you slipped on some blk ice and broke your back, just a what if!!
There are some places I know would allow you to stay,if you asked...church lots for one. Always ask and if you don't find someone to ask...move on.
On the Farm we would never turn anyone away if they needed somewhere to park for the night and I am sure a lot of farmers would let you stay....please ask first, what looks like a grass field could easily be a ruined crop.
If worse came to worse a police parking lot will work if you go in and ask.
