I do it all the time in really hot humid weather, but in my case the genny is in the rear with its tailpipe pointing out back and the nearest opening is (closed) windows some 10’ away and one the sides.
That and being a pilot I park nose into the wind wherever possible, rain hitting the back wall is *really* loud, so any fumes are being swept away from the m/h.
