Thanks for the info, a friend, "Lug_Nut" call me at home and basically told me the same thing, he feels that if anything, they reinstalled the carpet wrong and not the slide. He believes that they didn't leave enough of an overhang with the carpet and it does not drape down over the edge of the floor.
I hope you guys are correct, when I opened the door yesterday and saw this void, I was not a happy camper, we travel with pets and I could see all kinds of toys and other object being pushed under the carpeting and getting caught under the slide, causing damage each and every time it was used. Before the slide floor had been replaced, the carpet hung down and there was no viable gap between the coach floor and the carpeting.
