They are sticking, and not opening to allow the hydraulic fluid to go to the Piston ska ram cylinder
Cold weather affects mechanical a lot more than electrical

Ahh, another possibility. This one sounds as likely as the electrical contact issue. Maybe more so. Just tested again at 48F and the BR slide is working again so it's pretty consistently a failure due to cold.
What I'm going to do is wait until I get down to San Felipe Mexico and than take stuff apart, clean it all, and put it all back together. I've worked with electrical-mechanical devices for decades (electronics training, worked at Hyster for 9 years) and think I can spot an issue with a hydraulic valve. Hopefully, I'll find something obvious.
