Is it necessary for slide outs to have carpets on the floor

I replaced all the flooring, carpet and vinyl with Allure flooring from Home Depot. Did it myself, had to cut and lay 1/8" lexicon first to cover the coach to chassis bolts. Love it and the total cost was $630. Two slides work great with new flooring.
