Being off level should not affect the operation. Some HWH jacks are hydraulic, others are electric. If they are hydraulic, check the fluid level as both the jacks and slides operate off of the same pump. Low fluid level can cause air to be pumped into the system resulting in intermittent or non operation.
If you find the fluid level is low, top it off and cycle the system several times to purge the air and top off again..
If the slides are electric, each will have its own motor, and with the intermittent operation it would indicate there is either a faulty connection (loose or corroded), or the motor itself needs attention.
HWH is ONLY Hydraulic. The OP is concerned on the HWH SLIDE not his jacks. Doug
In most applications the hydraulic system uses a single pump for both jacks and slides. I did not say he was concerned with his jacks, rather that if he has that type of system both are normally activated by one pump.
If the reservoir is not full it may not have enough to deploy both jacks and slides. If the jacks are deployed first there may not be enough hydraulic to deploy the slides and vice-versa.
