they are all a little different, check in your manual.
My Monaco DP, the jacks ony have power with the ignition key on, but will not extend if the motor is running (wierd, huh?) so I have to kill the engine, then turn the key back to on (but not start the cummins) to extend the jacks.
The slides (and awnings) are all interlocked so they won't move if the ignition key is on....
