So anyone ever notice how the "expensive DP's" have the ends of the slideouts painted to match the rest of the body?It's always looked "incomplete" to me that my Knight has this killer 4 color paint job, but the ends of the slides are just plain silver...Last weekend, I had Phat Bro's Inc, Oswego, IL fix it up for me. Marco and Juan Perez did a fabulous job, They used the vinyl stuff used for full wraps and outdoor signs, matched the colors perfectly, and for $650, my coach looks like it cost 3 times what it did!Seriously tho, I like the look a lot. Mucho more finished.And the price was right too.Before:After:

I pointed out that exact feature of high end rigs. If our next rig has slides, I'll be painting them to match the sides. She already told me.

Jim, looks good, never thought about using vinyl. My brother-in-law and sister always gave me grief because my Diplomat didn't have the stripes, yet their Itasca Meridian did. Luckily, it was the only feature their coach had that mine didn't.

Nice job! I've always noticed that distinction between motorhomes....the higher end ones had the slide sides painted to match while "the rest of us" didn't have that nice touch on our rigs. I've been toying with the idea of painting the sides of ours, but your solution is interesting, and probably quite a bit cheaper.

Of course, I'm a big "do it yourselfer", so maybe I'll investigate those options too. :)

An option, I think. The guys who did the job tell me they won't come off, and the wipers wont bother them. Time will tell.

Look for a graphics company. They make the material in a zillion colors, and were easily able to match mine. I'd initially thought (I've been thinking of doing this for a year) that they would have to print the material on a big Epson or something, and of course these printers can't do gold, much less metallic black...
But the material is pre made, all they had to do is order it, and cut it and stick it on.

I totally love the new look. And for $650! sheeeet....

It looks great. I wonder how it will hold up being dragged across the wiper on the seal when retracting and extending over time. Vs having it actually painted.

My Monaco gasser has the stripes painted on the sides of the slides. I think it depends on the manufacturer rather than the power train or final cost of the coach.

Winnebago carried the stripes into the slideout ends of my "entry level" Itasca Spirit. Treatment varies by manufacturer as much as by market positioning.
