I'm thinking that I need to affix a slightly angled rubber strip, or series of plastic or rubber "bumps" (for lack of a better description) onto the roof of the slide to progressively nudge the seal outward as the slide extends. I'd use an adhesive of some type to permanently adhere this to the roof. Key is also to not tear up or wear the seals in the process.
Has anyone addressed this problem themselves? Does this sound like a plausible fix? I'd sure like to hear your opinions or different solutions. Thanks.
I went with the rubber "Bumps" (actually a flat strip of rubber).
Now it takes a strong driving wind to blow water past the seals.
In my case it is the bedroom that had the problem, specifically the bed
With the slide IN,, I pasted rubber strips as I recall I put two strips about 3 inches wide side by side from the inside ridge to strip width (Total about six inches) I would have to measure to be sure of width though. and a 3rd strip atop the first one.
I glued them down with a quality adhesive (forget which likely GOOP).
What you need will be determined by your slide though.
