I believe I recently saw a series of photos of someone who had a slide rebuilt and OMC due to water damage. On the refinished slide they stuck little plastic bumps that can be purchased at Walmart on the slide. It seems that catch on the squeegee fin and flip it out to face in the correct direction. I wish I remembered where I saw the photos. The little plastic bump looks like something you might put four under something to keep it from scratching what it's resting on. Or maybe between a cabinet door and the cabinet to keep it from slamming with a bang. Hope you can visualize what I'm talking about. It may be an easy and cheap fix.
