In my experience slides are almost always trouble of some kind - maybe it's just my 2005 Georgie Boy Landau, but I've had lots of trouble with my big slide - first I couldn't get it to close all the way and when I was driving it to someplace to get it fixed, on the on-ramp to I-40 it came all the way out. After a bunch of phone calls, I finally tried 911 and said that it might not be an emergency, but I need a police escort and explained why. It's really exciting to drive down an interstate hwy with a police car in front and another behind - even flashing lights. So they led me to a place to get it fixed. It took all day, but they welded some part that had broken. That lasted three or four years before it happened again (fortunately that time in a campground)and it got sort-of fixed so I could get home. After two or three more incidents one in LA and one in FL, I finally got it to my regular RV repair shop (where by this time they all know me by name)and they, I think, got it fixed. I've not taken it out since then, but I will later this month, so I guess I'll find out then. Good luck with your slide. Chuck
