slideout awning

My bedroom slide topper (Carefree of Colorado) when putting it out snapped and the topper went limp. The end tab broke off and the torsion spring unwound mine has only one spring. I could move the roll by hand. removed the screws on the end and the 2 screws that holds the topper in place then removed the topper. Took it in for repairs needed a new end cap and they replaced the topper. Don't remove anything if the spring is loaded or you may be checking out your health insurance.
