Nice to see a fellow amateur astronomer posting. I have a TT but am getting close to purchasing a used Class A myself. I do not have a transportable Dob, as of yet anyway, but I believe that a full sized Winnebago, Thor, etc could fit the broken down assembly nicely.
Like a prior poster stated, I have a Nexstar 5 that I transport in the now empty bunkhouse. We use it like a walk-in closet.
There's an idea for you. Look for a bunkhouse model where the bunks can be moved out of the way, for example a Fleetwood Terra 31C or a Newmar Bay Star Sport 3306. The scope can reside safely in the interior space during transport.
One other thought, how about a Class C? Many folks use the overhead bunk for storage and your scope should nfit nicely there too.
Good luck.
