thanks everyone!
I think I've sold (or nagged!) hubby on the idea of downsizing to the C. After RV'ing for a little bit I have found out what kind of campers we are and I really do think the small C is going to fit our needs best. I know there will be days I'll wish for more space, but I've learned a lot through our first 2 units and gotten things down to enough of a science that I think this can work.
Our kids are fairly young now, and I know as they get bigger and want to start bringing friends we may need to re-evaluate (or buy a tent! LOL!) but there are so many trips I want to take and places I want to go where our current set up just isn't ideal.
I thought I would miss having the tow vehicle to unhook and drive around, but honestly when we camp, we never leave the campground! We usually go with friends and don't find a reason to leave so that hasn't been an issue. And a small C could tow a vehicle (not sure if any of ours are towable 4 down, will have to research that next I guess!) but I don't even think it will be an issue.
mikebreeze, I hear you on the tight sleeping quarters! Unfortunately, even with the king size bed at home I find myself cramped after the kids wake up and squeeze on in every morning! Luckily I'm not too tall and the kids are small enough.
LOVE the Thor ACE! What a great concept. That was my first choice if we were going with a gas A, but after test driving the small C I just loved the idea of being able to take it to an amusement park, shopping trip with girlfriends, beach, etc.
francheska, you totally make me feel better. This will be our 3rd unit in 4 years. EEK! Can't believe I'm admiting that! LOL, hopefully we'll get it right soon. If not I guess I'll just keep trying to singlehandedly stimulate the economy, and we'll have some fun adventures on the way.
