Smog question, maybe a stupid question..
If I buy a class C out of state and bring it back into California, will I have to have it smogged to ca requirements? Or are the newer class C rvs compliant? I just remember years ago I bought a car...

Purchased mine in Minnesota and YES it was required to have a smog certificate before being registered in California. The chassis is an 08 Ford, the coach is an 09. California decided to change the year of my coach to an 08. Federal law states that "the finisher of a partial build determines the year of the vehicle" wasn't a big problem just more paperwork. When I transferred vehicles from NY to Ca. registration, the smog devices on my vehicles had to be accepted as is even though they were not as strict as Ca. standards. I think now all vehicles are the same but not back then.
