Lots of snakes out right now. Fortunately most are not poisonous but all can bite of course. Mice can get in there and a snake will follow. I place mouse poison in that area as well as the shoreline cable area to keep the mice at bay. Getting those critters to leave the security of a tight place is difficult. Leave the bay door open so there is a much easier way to get out. Wish I could be more help but am sure someone will come up with some great idea. I tried to chase one out from below one of my sheds. The only thing that worked was a garden hose on one side and patience.
