If you followed his advice, then your system may work well--but you paid more than you needed to, and had to fight with larger wire than needed. I hope you have a temperature compensated charge controller with a probe on the battery bank, because we really need those in Saskatchewan.
I don't need to "prove myself worthy" because my system works better than my wildest dreams.
Ask yourself if your system will allow you to saturation charge the battery bank(s)?
