My twin engine boat is far more efficent when I operate only on one engine.

Another benefit of a gas motorhome is parts cost and availability. On a trip, any parts needed are as close as any Autozone, Advanced Auto or NAPA which seem to be every few blocks nowadays.

We bought our 31 foot class A in the signature this past September. While waiting for the rig to be prepped and detailed, another older customer wandered over and shared with my wife and I how he wished he had a rig our size.

He had a 40' DP, and said it was too much and he envied the fact that we got it right. I have always planned to move up to a DP in a few years when we fully retire, but now I am re-thinking this strategy. FWIW. Good Luck!

For those complaining about the noise issue with gas motorhomes I had the same problem, but after installing sound proofing material in dog house and under the floor on driver/passenger side my noise level was cut in half, if not more, also add airbags and softer Monroe shocks, it helps the Ford chassis ride smoother.

Most gas motorhomes have zero sound proof installed by manufacture.

Just downsized from a 2011 40 ft Phaeton to Tiffin 32SA Open Road. This gasser has more basement storage room than the Phaeton had. I ordered with sumo springs and the ride is terrific. Residential refrigerator, fireplace and king bed.

Obviously not as roomy inside but with 2 slides it is comfortable. Has many, many of the same amenities as the Phaeton....really like the large electric awning, the pull down shades, the electronic switches, LED lights and J-Lounge. Tiffin has narrowed the gap between gas and diesel.

Also got the 5-Star tune to fix transmission downshift problem.

Love our 36LA and see no need to upgrade to a Tiffin DP. So much exterior storage, maint is a walk in the park, quiet and handles well totally stock Could not be happier.

Our old 2000 v10 gas coach has served us well now for 15 years, always get us where we're going, perhaps a bit slower navigating steep mountain grades, but has never failed to make it over the summits.

Insofar as we live in it more than we travel in it, the power of lack of power issue is rather insignificant to us.

Completely rebuilding a 34' Damon with only one slide. It can be done folks!! Loving it so far at 2 years into the project.

Having owned 2 F350 Diesel trucks towing large 5th wheels and now owning a 38' V10 Gasser my only significant preference for a diesel powered vehicle is quieter ride and more power for steep grades. In my case, I'm not likely to be going out west every year like I used to and I'm not a full timer. Gassers have been upgraded a lot over the past few years, so under 40' you can have most of the same amenities at a far lower cost. The V10 tho a bit noisy in hill country is a proven reliable drive train based on the same components used in millions of commercial vehicles which is why it now is by far the dominate gas powered drive train for rvs. Ya I used to zoom up Loveland Pass at 70mph towing a 37' Montana but not likely to be doing those kind of grades anymore. The vast majority of my road time is spent on flat land with the occasional steep grade that lasts only minutes. Having said this I also believe that lifestyle is an important factor for many people who want the best coach they can afford and I fully understand why many folks are willing to spend big for a DP. I made the switch back to a gasser. There are many doing the same. After 2 DP's I bought a Newmar Canyon Star 3610. The 36LA is very similar. A good friend of mine bought 36LA last summer and really likes it. I think you will be impressed with it.
