Some question regarding in-tank fuel pump replacement

So, all y’all have me convinced that my engine problem, explored in the earlier thread titled Unexpected engine failure (shut down) 1994 Ford 460 V8, is a bad fuel pump. I’m not sure which route to go...

Geocritter ... It will pull through the old pump. I left my frame mount (backup) off until the factory pump quit and switched my backup on and it ran w/o fail. I did not replace my factory pump until my fuel gage sending unit failed. It was easy to drop the tank and get clear of the coach and see the whole system. I left the backup pump in place.
