Some question regarding in-tank fuel pump replacement

So, all y’all have me convinced that my engine problem, explored in the earlier thread titled Unexpected engine failure (shut down) 1994 Ford 460 V8, is a bad fuel pump. I’m not sure which route to go...

I have a '94 F53, exact same setup as in your pictures. I recently dropped the tank and changed the pump and took a lot of pictures. PM me if you'd like to see what's inside the tank: i'll send you pictures. Lots of people guessing about what the setup might be like inside the tank so far in this thread: all of them are wrong.
